I am Misty Richard and this will be my seventeenth year as an educator in Terrebonne Parish. I spent my first five years teaching 4th grade at Grand Caillou Middle School. After leaving Grand Caillou, I made Lisa Park my home. Over the past twelve years, I have taught 2nd grade for one year, Kindergarten for five years, served as the Instructional Coach of Lisa Park for four years, and as Interim Principal for one year. I received my Bachelor of Arts in May of 2003 and my Masters of Educational Leadership in May of 2007 from Nicholls State University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Childhood Education. I have been married to my husband Lance Richard for seventeen years. We have three wonderful children, Bryce, Brayden, and Riley and three spunky dogs. Our family lives in the Lisa Park subdivision. Brayden and Riley currently attend Lisa Park and Bryce is now an alumni who attends Terrebonne High School. I enjoy spending time with my family on vacations and cheering them on at their individual sporting events. You can find me at baseball games, swim meets, and cheer/dance practice. I also enjoy relaxing at our family camp in Cocodrie. I am very excited about this opportunity to serve as the principal of Lisa Park Elementary. I plan to work hard in helping Lisa Park move forward in achieving our goal of becoming an A school. I look forward to the many adventures we will have together this year as we strive for excellence in academics, behavior, and character.
